I’m Lorenzo Damiani, an independent Data Scientist and Analytics Engineer, supporting companies in building reliable, production-ready data and machine learning systems.

With over 5 years of experience across large tech organizations and scale-ups, I’ve worked on data platforms, business intelligence and applied machine learning in environments where accuracy, scalability and operational impact matter. My background includes roles at Amazon and Glovo, followed by a transition to independent consulting through my EURL, Damiani Data Consulting, a Paris-based consulting firm.

As a freelancer, I collaborate with SMEs, scale-ups and larger organizations to design and implement end-to-end data solutions: from data ingestion and cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform, to executive dashboards, forecasting models and automated decision workflows. Recent projects include BI architecture design, MLOps pipelines, churn and performance modeling, and analytics automation for clients such as Equifax, Foodizon and multiple international companies via Upwork and Malt.

work as a Google Cloud–certified Machine Learning Engineer and Analytics Engineer, helping organizations design, deploy and operate production-grade data and machine learning systems on Google Cloud Platform.

I build cloud-native ML and data pipelines on GCP, covering the full lifecycle: data ingestion, transformation, feature engineering, model training, deployment and inference. My work is centered on production readiness, reliability and long-term maintainability, following solid MLOps practices for versioning, monitoring and operational stability.

I currently support SFR on a full Google Cloud Platform environment, working on the migration and industrialization of machine learning models from on-premise infrastructure to GCP. This includes designing Vertex AI–based architectures, production inference pipelines and robust ML workflows aligned with enterprise constraints and operational requirements.

Alongside enterprise engagements, I also collaborate with scale-ups and SMEs to design and implement end-to-end data and ML platforms, adapting architectures and tooling to each organization’s technical maturity and growth stage.

In parallel, I design analytics and business intelligence layers that make complex data and ML systems usable by decision-makers. This includes well-structured data models, executive and operational dashboards, automated reporting and alerting, ensuring that both core metrics and ML outputs are accessible, interpretable and actionable.

My core stack is Google Cloud Platform, where I work daily with Vertex AI, BigQuery and Cloud Functions, using Python and SQL as primary languages. For BI delivery, I use Power BI and Looker Studio. I also have hands-on experience with Docker, Airflow, dbt, AWS and Tableau, allowing me to operate effectively in heterogeneous or transitioning environments.

I’m a Google Cloud Certified Professional Machine Learning Engineer and a Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300).
